It has been described as the biggest company you have never heard of, and the facts about INEOS certainly support this statement.
Whilst its public profile is low, its impact on everyday life is enormous. INEOS products make a significant contribution to saving life, improving health and enhancing standards of living of people around the world. It produces the raw materials that are essential to the manufacture of a huge variety of goods – from paints to plastics, textiles to technology and medicines to mobile phones.
Safety, health and environmental performance is INEOS’ highest priority. INEOS tries to be a good neighbour and cares about the communities that it operates within, and actively seeks opportunities to support youth, sports or science projects. INEOS works with local schools and universities to develop understanding and talent within the fields of Science, Engineering and Technology, and with local sports clubs to encourage kids to take up sport and become active from an early age.
“I’m passionate about getting as many children running as possible, as early as possible. The idea is simple – to get children out of the house having fun. It is not rocket science. Running is the basis of so many great sports. If our children can catch the running bug early, they’re more likely to stick to it, and this can only lead to them having a more active and healthier lifestyle in the future” – Sir Jim Ratcliffe, Founder & Chairman of INEOS

LOVED being part of the GO Run For Fun event! The GO Run For Fun team are so passionate about encouraging kids to get active and honestly it's contagious, I couldn't help but love it! All the kids (and their teachers!) ran or walked 2k in the sunshine and all had a great time doing it...they all inspired me, reminding me that this exercise thing is meant to be fun!
I am an advocate of encouraging young people's participation in sport and growing sport at the grassroots and community levels. By teaming up with the local clubs, schools and events, the GO Run For Fun campaign aims to do just this. I feel passionately about motivating people to get involved in sport and I am proud of this campaign.
We know that the positive experiences we have at a young age shape habits for life - which is why it's so key to help young children enjoy getting active daily. Running is the simplest, most natural exercise you can do, it's fun and social, and it helps to teach the basics of a healthy lifestyle. As childhoods become more sedentary than ever, we're proud that the GO Run for Fun and The Daily Mile initiatives have helped over 2 million children get up and running since 2013 - and are inspiring their families, too.
